Our alpine hut
Hintergnadenalm - open to the public at an - situated at an altitude of 1,326 m, near Obertauern
Our own Hintergnadenalm is a popular excursion destination. The gentle alpine terrain between the peaks of the Tauern is a real natural jewel, where our cows and calves spend their summer and visitors can enjoy a wonderful natural backdrop at any time of year. During a refreshment stop at our alpine hut, savour a hearty alpine snack, lovingly prepared by our dairywoman.

Starting point for hikes in summer
- Trail to the impressive Johannes Waterfall (approx. 20 mins. walking time)
- Ascent possibilities to the popular Südwienerhütte (approx. 1 hrs. walk)
- Family hiking adventure "Alles Alm": 10 play stations, themed resting spots & alpine quiz along the circular trail (approx. 2 hrs. walking time)
Winter activities
- Natural toboggan run - 1.5 km long, snow mobile toboggan taxi, toboggan rental
- Guided snowshoe walks
- Romantic horse-drawn sleigh rides
- Approx. 15 km long groomed cross country ski trails (classic & skating), biathlon possibility for everyone
How to get to the Hintergnadenalm
In order to get from the Hubergut to our alpine hut, you first of all follow the Ennstal road B320 towards Radstadt and after approx. 400 m turn off on to the B99 towards Obertauern. Follow this road for approx. 14 km and turn off to the right shortly after the Gnadenwasserfall (signpost). Here you'll find plenty of parking spaces. Walk gently along the wide and pushchair-friendly trail (accessible by car) in approx. 30 mins. to our alpine hut with refreshment.
